Experience the table as a stage for cooking through “Hapag Kainan”. The table is a place where life gathers together to celebrate food; from the time of harvest, to preparation, and to feeding.
This culinary performance will weave the visual and the gustatory senses to create a foliage of produce and food that is meant to be shared. Everyone is welcome to the table.
Also at the festival will be a secondary course called 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐤𝐚𝐩. A gustatory installation, also by Fiasfud, that presents the pieces that make the whole. The value of a dish is further nourished by the unique individuality of its parts. By appreciating the pieces that make the whole, we come to understand the dance between flavors.
Sofia aka Fiasfud is a home cook based in Sta Mesa and currently creates dishes for Fiasfud and Ani Cafe. She feels most connected and grounded when working with food and believes that food is a form of connection, mutual support, and expression. Intentionality is a core value in the practice and so is sharing it with a community. Sofia wants to use her curiosity in experimenting with local produce to create dishes that bring comfort. Her goal is to make one enjoy their meal; and hopefully, pique one’s curiosity to explore their own connection with food.
